John Deere 6R (2011–2018) – the premium line from Mannheim: 6110R to 6250R, the number as hp class, R for full specification against 6M, PowerTech four- and six-cylinders of 4.5 and 6.8 litres, AutoPowr and DirectDrive
The 6R range of 2011 split John Deere's mid-range from Mannheim into two lines: 6M as the simpler version and 6R as the premium line with suspended cab, CommandCenter terminal and the AutoPowr (stepless) and DirectDrive (dual-clutch) transmissions. The type logic: 6 marks the series, the number the rated power in hp – 6110R about 110 hp, 6150R 150 hp, 6210R 210 hp – R the line; in 2014 the 6230R and 6250R were added, two models that with 230 and 250 hp and intelligent power management reach into the 7R class. The engines are Deere's PowerTech range: the four-cylinder of 4.5 litres in the small, the six-cylinder of 6.8 litres in the medium and big models, from the 6210R as PowerTech PSX with two-stage turbocharging; the register span of 4,500 to 6,800 cm³ shows both families.

The register lists 8 versions with 122 to 220.9 kW from four- and six-cylinders at 2,100 rpm, unladen weights from 6,200 to 9,300 kg, gross weights from 10,800 to 15,000 kg, a lift capacity up to 10,400 kg, lengths from 4,930 to 5,712 mm and widths from 2,470 to 2,750 mm.
In its time the 6R was Germany's best-selling tractor in the class above 100 hp; in 2018 the revised generation with new nomenclature (6120R to 6250R) followed, in 2021 the 6R with the dot designation.
