The 5M series is John Deere's global mid-class range of general-purpose tractors, built at different group plants depending on the sales market; the 5075M and 5115M use the number after the M to denote the power step within the range. Within John Deere's letter logic, E denotes the entry class, M the mid equipment level and R the premium version; the 5M thus sits between the simpler 5E and the more comfortable 5R.
