The register lists 61 versions with 55 to 176 kW from three- to six-cylinder engines of 998 to 3,298 cm³, unladen weights of 890 to 3,360 kg, gross vehicle weights of 1,340 to 3,500 kg and widths of 1,560 to 2,260 mm; length values are recorded for a portion of the models.

The H range and the Porter cover the segment of light, rugged commercial vehicles across Asia, Eastern Europe and parts of Africa, competing there with the Toyota HiAce and Ford Transit; the accompanying passenger models show that classic Hyundai cars, too, are registered as commercial estates in some markets.

When buying used, check corrosion at the sliding-door tracks and load floor on the H models, turbocharger and injection-system condition on diesel engines, the operation of the powered sliding doors on the Staria and Grand Starex, and general condition at high mileage on the passenger models under commercial registration; parts run through the Hyundai dealer network.
