Hürlimann XT 911 and XT 913 – the large six-cylinder range from the Swiss SDF brand: 6.0-litre diesel of 80.9 to 97.1 kW, unladen weight from 5,380 to 5,430 kg

Hürlimann was founded in 1929 in Wil in the canton of St Gallen and has belonged to the Italian SAME group since 1979, which today trades as SAME Deutz-Fahr (SDF); the brand remains distinct within the group, while development and production have moved to SDF's plants in Italy. The XT range gathers the brand's large six-cylinder models: XT 911 and XT 913 represent the upper power class with a 6.0-litre six-cylinder engine drawn from the shared SDF engine pool, which also runs unchanged under the Deutz-Fahr and Same badges.

The register lists 2 versions of 80.9 to 97.1 kW, a displacement of 6,000 cm³ across six cylinders, torque from 405 to 497 Nm at 2,500 rpm, unladen weights from 5,380 to 5,430 kg, lengths from 4,380 to 4,550 mm, widths from 2,230 to 2,250 mm and a height of 2,805 mm.

As upper-mid-class tractors, the XT 911 and XT 913 target mixed arable and grassland farms as well as contractors who need a compact yet powerful tractor for heavy tillage and transport work; in this class Hürlimann competes with its own group siblings Deutz-Fahr and Same as well as Fendt, Case IH and John Deere.

On a used example, what counts is operating hours, the condition of clutch and gearbox, the tightness of engine and hydraulics, cab suspension and susceptibility of the bodywork to rust; because engine and many components are shared across the group, parts supply through Deutz-Fahr and Same dealers is usually straightforward.
