The register lists here 22 versions with 0.75 to 7.5 kW, two- to six-pole, full-load efficiencies from 79.03 to 90.5% and at 75% load from 78.43 to 91.22%. Frame sizes run from 80 to 132, supply voltage is uniformly 400 V. Manufacturing is in China, testing used test method 2-1-1B under the 2019 GEMS determination; all 22 motors reach the 2018 High Efficiency Level.

With its multiple protection-rating certification and uniform 2018 efficiency class, Hoyer positions the HMA3 range in the European and Australia-Pacific market as a standard industrial motor whose mounting position and environment can change by application, from the factory floor to outdoor use, without switching ranges.

When buying used, bearing condition and a checked insulation resistance of the winding, the condition of shaft, key and fan cover, and a legible nameplate with frame size, pole count and mounting code matter; given the wide choice of mounting codes up to the vertical forms V18 and V19, the actual installation should be matched against the approved form.
