This page gathers Grove mobile cranes the register could not assign to a named range – all-terrain cranes of the GMK series and telescopic cranes on truck chassis. Grove was founded in 1947 in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania, and built one of the first hydraulic truck cranes in the 1960s; since 2002 the brand has belonged to the crane group Manitowoc. The GMK type designation (Grove Mobile Krane) gives the load class in the first digit and the maximum lifting capacity in tonnes in the following digits, for instance the GMK5130 with a 130-tonne capacity. Some models appear in the Finnish registration data under the collective category for special-purpose vehicles, because mobile cranes are registered there as trucks with a crane superstructure.
