The stage trailer serves as a fold-out mobile stage for concerts, trade fairs and events, while the SPL semi-trailers carry machinery, building materials or general cargo as heavy-duty vehicles; the span up to 42 tonnes gross weight shows the range's breadth between special-purpose body and classic semi-trailer.

On a used stage trailer, the condition of the hydraulics, the fold-out mechanism and the stage floor count; on the semi-trailers, the frame and axles, brakes, air suspension, and kingpin and landing legs; rust on load-bearing parts is the most common fault on both body types. Spare parts are supplied by Gföllner through its own plant in Grieskirchen. On the SPL semi-trailers, a tandem or tridem axle group spreads the load, and the 2-inch kingpin is the common standard; on the stage trailer, the even support of the unfolded stage sections on their legs also matters.
