Funtear occupies a niche between classic caravan building and workshop craft: every trailer is built to individual order from its own construction drawing, in the tradition of Airstream or Bowlus but produced in the Netherlands; the range spans from the compact teardrop to larger catering trailers for commercial use.

When buying used, check the rivets and aluminium skin for dents and corrosion on the metal versions, damp in the floor and walls on wood or fibreglass bodies, and the condition of windows, seals and wiring; since every trailer is a one-off build, contacting the manufacturer in Oirschot is worthwhile for spare parts.
