Fruehauf ONCRS

The register lists 17 versions of the ONCRS range with unladen weights from 7,190 to 15,530 kg, gross weights from 22,000 to 45,000 kg, lengths from 10,300 to 14,040 mm and widths from 2,550 to 2,600 mm.

Semi-trailers of this size carry general cargo, pallets and building materials on long-haul routes and sit in the European semi-trailer market alongside the big ranges from Schmitz Cargobull, Krone and Kögel, built to the same statutory gross-weight limits of 22 to 45 tonnes; depending on the body they serve as curtainsiders, box trailers or open flatbeds.

On a used example, rust on the chassis and side members counts, the condition of axles, brakes and air-suspension bellows, wear on the kingpin and landing legs, the tightness of tarpaulin and bows on curtainsider versions, and the lighting system; spares for the older Fruehauf ranges mostly come through independent commercial-vehicle workshops.
