Fiatgeotech was, from 1988 to 1993, the name of Fiat's agricultural machinery division before the brand was absorbed into New Holland following the merger with Ford New Holland. The 56 series covered the types 55-56, 60-56, 65-56 and 70-56 LM during this transitional period, with the leading number denoting the power class and the 56 ending the series generation; the DT suffix, as on the older Fiat series, denotes the four-wheel-drive version.
