Fiatagri 90 series (1984–1990s) – 55-90 to 180-90: the first number as hp, DT for four-wheel drive, the 180-90 with 8.1-litre turbo at the top, Modena and the Comfort cab, 41 to 133 kW

The 90 series was Fiatagri's programme of standard and large tractors from 1984 – the range that made Fiat Europe's largest tractor maker and whose design New Holland carried into the 35, 60 and 70 series after the 1991 merger. The type logic: the first number gives the output in hp, the 90 the series, DT stands for Doppia Trazione, four-wheel drive, Turbo for the turbocharged versions. The 55-90 to 90-90 are the three- and four-cylinders from the Modena plant, the 100-90 to 140-90 the six-cylinders, the 160-90 and 180-90 the large tractors with 8.1-litre turbo engine – around 1985 the 180-90 with 180 hp was Italy's strongest standard tractor.

The register lists 13 versions with 40.5 to 132.5 kW, 2,710 to 8,102 cm³ with three to six cylinders, torque from 175 to 622 Nm, unladen weights from 2,780 to 6,330 kg, lengths from 3,733 to 4,820 mm, widths from 1,710 to 2,100 mm and heights from 2,510 to 2,930 mm – all diesel.

The 90s brought the Comfort cab with flat floor, the shuttle transmission and from 1988 the version with electronic linkage control; the six-cylinders are regarded as the most durable Fiat engines, and many 110-90 and 130-90 still run in Italy and Eastern Europe today.

On used tractors, operating hours, engine condition, transmission and shuttle, hydraulics and front axle on DT models and the cab, whose sheet metal rusts on older examples, are what count.
