The Fendt Xylon is a self-propelled implement carrier that Fendt built in the 1990s in Marktoberdorf to complement its classic farm tractors. On every Xylon model, the centrally or far-forward mounted cab gives a clear view of implements fitted at the front, between the axles and at the rear, so the machine can carry several tools at once; typical uses included grassland care, viticulture and municipal services. The model designations 320 and 520, 522 and 524 distinguish engine and equipment level, with four-cylinder engines in the smaller and six-cylinder engines in the larger versions.
