The Fix range was Fendt's entry class of the 1950s and 1960s for smaller holdings, built alongside the larger Favorit and Dieselross series at the Bavarian Marktoberdorf plant. The four recorded types Fix 1, Fix 16, Fix 2 and Fix 2 E reflect the gradual increase in power within the range; Fendt offered the small tractors in various body variants. They were powered by single- and twin-cylinder diesel engines, typical for this class for simple maintenance and low fuel consumption.

The register lists 4 versions with 10.2 to 16 kW from single- to twin-cylinders of 1,032 to 1,700 cc displacement at 2,000 to 2,050 rpm. Unladen weights range from 1,250 to 1,610 kg, lengths from 2,545 to 3,180 mm, widths from 1,518 to 1,520 mm, and heights without canopy from 1,430 to 1,490 mm.
Small tractors such as the Fix range filled the gap in the 1950s and 1960s between single-axle carriers and the larger, more expensive standard tractors, aimed at smallholdings and special crops such as viticulture and orchards, where manoeuvrability and low weight mattered more than high pulling power.
On a used purchase of such a small tractor, check the condition and tightness of the injection system, wear on the clutch and steering, and corrosion on sheet metal and the frame; parts for the old single- and twin-cylinder engines are now only available through specialists and tractor exchanges.
