The Fendt Agrobil S carries an air-cooled four-cylinder diesel engine with 3,768 cm³ of displacement, producing 80 hp, or 59 kW, at 2,800 rpm. At 4,000 kg, 7,600 mm long, 3,600 mm high, 2,300 mm wide and with a 3,440 mm wheelbase, the machine reaches a top speed of 60 km/h.

At 60 km/h, the Agrobil S's design top speed clearly exceeds the 20 to 40 km/h of many classic farm tractors of its time and falls under German driving licence class T; its 7,600 mm length likewise far exceeds the dimensions of ordinary wheeled tractors. This combination of high speed and elongated build points to a transport role, for which an ordinary, short farm tractor is less suited.

When buying such a long and fast vehicle used, the condition of the frame along its full length matters, as long chassis are more exposed to torsional stress than compact tractors. Also worth checking are the cooling fins of the air-cooled engine, the braking system given the higher travel speed, and the condition of the steering and steering knuckles. Also worth checking before purchase are the function of the lighting system and the condition of the tyres, given the vehicle's higher travel speed and long wheelbase.
