The register lists 2 variants with 18.3 to 20.5 kW, or 28 hp, of power from two-cylinder engines of 1,962 to 1,963 cc displacement at a rated speed of 2,000 rpm and 110 Nm of torque. Unladen weights fall between 1,460 and 1,555 kg, dimensions range from 2,990 to 3,024 mm in length, 1,510 to 1,530 mm in width and 1,400 to 1,420 mm in height.
With its small two-cylinder engine and compact dimensions, the Tiger targeted smaller farms needing a manoeuvrable, economical tractor for yard and field work, forming the affordable counterpart to the marque's larger predator-named models.
When buying used, check clutch and gearbox for wear, and the two-cylinder engine for smooth running and a tight head gasket. The bodywork deserves a check for rust around the wings and bonnet, and the hydraulics a look at delivery pressure. Steering box and front axle pivots should be checked for play, and the electrics for brittle, ageing wiring. An active network of collectors and specialist parts dealers exists for Eicher classics such as the Tiger.
