The Eicher 300 series bundles compact, narrow-track tractors from the Bavarian maker with type numbers 334, 342, 352 and 365; the S and AS suffixes mark different equipment or drive variants of the same base version. With widths under 1.2 metres, the line targeted work in narrow row crops such as vineyards and orchards, as well as tight farmyard situations where standard tractors are too wide.

Narrow-track tractors such as the Eicher 300 series remain in demand at special-crop farms to this day, because they can turn between tight rows of vines or trees without damaging the crop; competition came from similarly narrow-built models from other German and Italian makers. The low overall height of around 1.2 metres also makes it easier to pass under low-hanging branches and foliage walls.
