Dodge Flatbed truck (BA)

The register lists here 21 versions with 118 to 295 kW from six- to ten-cylinders of 5,654 to 7,997 cm³, unladen weights from 2,660 to 3,555 kg, gross weights from 3,510 to 4,831 kg, lengths from 5,700 to 6,475 mm and widths from 1,800 to 2,140 mm.

Flatbed trucks of this class served in Finland to carry general cargo, building materials and agricultural produce over shorter and medium distances, where the open platform allowed faster loading and unloading by crane or from the side than a closed body.

On a used example of this older American design, the condition of the large-capacity engine and the carburettor or early injection, rust on the ladder frame and on the platform itself, the condition of the leaf springs and brake drums, and the availability of parts, which for this generation increasingly runs through specialist classic-vehicle dealers, matter.
