Deutz-Fahr Agrotron X

The register lists 3 versions with 161 to 225 kW rated output at 2,000 to 2,350 rpm. The six-cylinder engines produce between around 7,146 and 7,750 cm³ displacement, torque ranges from 833 to 1,206 Nm. Operating weights lie between 8,810 and 9,430 kg at lengths of 5,268 mm and widths of 2,750 mm. The engines run on diesel or B100 biodiesel.

With outputs up to 225 kW, the Agrotron X targeted large arable farms and contractors with high pulling-power needs for heavy tillage and transport work, competing against the top models from Fendt, John Deere and Case IH. The high torque at comparatively low engine speed marks the engine design typical of this class.

When buying used, the condition of clutch and gearbox, the tightness of the hydraulic system, and the turbocharger and charge-air cooler rank among the most expensive checks in this power class. Corrosion on load-bearing panels and the cab mounts should also be checked; spare parts are carried by the Deutz-Fahr dealer network.
