The Agrotron 100 belongs to the second Agrotron generation (MK2) from Deutz-Fahr and was built from 1997 to 2001. At that time, the Agrotron range formed the mid to upper power class within Deutz-Fahr's field-tractor programme.

The four-cylinder diesel engine with 3,192 cm³ of displacement produces 95 hp, or 69.9 kW, at 2,300 rpm, with 356 Nm of torque. At an unladen weight of 4,220 kg and a gross weight of 7,500 kg, 4,005 mm long, 2,765 mm high, 2,060 mm wide and with a 2,419 mm wheelbase, the tractor is built for a top speed of 30 km/h.

The gap between the 4,220 kg unladen weight and the 7,500 kg gross weight shows that the Agrotron 100 has plenty of payload left for heavy implements and trailers; a four-cylinder engine with just under 70 kW covers both tillage on medium-sized fields and transport work with a fully loaded trailer. Making full use of the gross weight puts extra weight on having a properly working trailer brake, since the chassis was engineered for 30 km/h at this weight class.

When buying a used Agrotron 100 of this age, the condition of the clutch and gearbox matters most, since four-cylinder field tractors from these years have often already run up several thousand hours. Also worth checking are the seals and condition of the hydraulic pump, corrosion on the fenders and step plates, and the brakes under a full trailer load.
