Deutz-Fahr Agrotron L – L710 and L720: the large six-cylinder class from Lauingen, 139 to 145 kW, 7,146 cc displacement and 7,236 to 7,520 kg
The Agrotron L range formed the top end of Deutz-Fahr's Agrotron family and, like the rest of the line-up, was built at the Lauingen an der Donau plant. The L in L710 and L720 denotes the large, powerful class within this range, fitted with a six-cylinder engine, with which Deutz-Fahr pushed into the heavy tractor segment for large farms.

The register lists 2 variants with 139 to 145 kW of power from six-cylinder engines of 7,146 cc displacement at a rated speed of 2,350 rpm and torque of 793 to 820 Nm. Unladen weights fall between 7,236 and 7,520 kg, with dimensions of 4,800 to 5,010 mm in length, 2,500 to 2,550 mm in width and 3,020 mm in height. Both variants are approved for diesel and biodiesel operation up to B100.
With its large-capacity six-cylinder engine and high pulling power, the Agrotron L class competed with the large ranges from Fendt Vario, John Deere and Case IH Puma/Magnum, aimed at large arable operations and contractors with high power needs in tillage and heavy haulage.
When buying used, the turbocharger, intercooler and cooling system deserve particular attention given the high engine output. The large hydraulic pump needs clean hydraulic oil and tight fittings, and cab mounts should be checked for wear in the air suspension. Tyres of this size are costly and worth factoring into the purchase decision; parts supply runs reliably through the Deutz-Fahr network.
