Agrofarm is the simple, compact range below the Agrotron in Deutz-Fahr's line-up, which has belonged since 1995 to the Italian SDF group (Same Deutz-Fahr), headquartered in Treviso with its plant in Lauingen an der Donau. The models target smaller and medium farms and contractors looking for a rugged, low-maintenance all-rounder without electronic ballast. The type logic: the number gives roughly the power class in hp – Agrofarm 85 the smallest, Agrofarm 410 to 430 the larger versions – DT marks double traction, that is four-wheel drive, GS a higher trim level, and TTV the stepless version with hydrostatic-mechanical transmission. The same water-cooled four-cylinder of 4,038 cm³ is fitted throughout, also used in other SDF ranges of this class.

Agrofarm competes in the entry segment with the Case IH Farmall, New Holland T4 and Fendt Farmer/200 Vario, and is common chiefly in southern and eastern Europe and overseas, where simple mechanics and a low purchase price count for more than comfort equipment.
On used tractors, the condition of clutch and gearbox, leak-free hydraulics and PTO, rust on mudguards and cab, the condition of the front axle on the four-wheel-drive model and parts supply through the SDF dealer network, unproblematic for the 4.0-litre engine, are what count.
