The three-cylinder diesel engine with 2,887 cm³ displacement is water-cooled and produces 88 hp, or 65 kW, at 2,200 rpm. At 3,620 kg weight, 4,100 mm length, 2,037 mm width and 2,650 mm height, the 5090 G sits somewhat above the weight of the Ecoline and Keyline versions of the series, with almost the same displacement and a similar engine layout.
With a top speed of 40 km/h, the 5090 G reaches the upper limit of driving licence category L. The water-cooled three-cylinder engine with 88 hp suits tillage, grassland maintenance and transport work on medium-sized holdings; the three-point linkage and power take-off allow operation of the usual implements in this output class.
When buying a 5090 G, check the condition of the radiator and coolant hoses, and the tightness of the hydraulic system at the lift arms. Also check the clutch and gearbox, and whether the recorded hours of use are plausible given the machine's outward condition, as well as the condition of the cab and electrical system, which can see above-average strain on demonstrator machines.
