The three-cylinder diesel engine with 2,826 cm³ displacement is air-cooled and produces 35 hp, or 25.6 kW, at 2,150 rpm, with torque of 156 Nm. At 1,980 kg weight, 3,470 mm length, 1,560 mm width and 2,360 mm height, the D 4007 ranks among the lighter tractors of the 07 range, staying manoeuvrable enough for small fields and tight farmyards.
A top speed of 25 km/h places the D 4007 in driving licence category L (up to 40 km/h). The air-cooled three-cylinder engine with 35 hp suits smaller field tasks, grassland maintenance and transport, but not the operation of heavy implements or large trailers; its limited torque of 156 Nm restricts drawbar performance on heavy soils. For implements run through the power take-off and the three-point linkage, the machine still remains versatile.
When buying a D 4007, check the condition of the cooling-air ducting of the three-cylinder engine and the fins on the cylinder head, since dirt or damage here worsens cooling of the small engine. Also check the clutch, gearbox and hydraulic pump, whose components on this small standard tractor are simpler in design but just as prone to wear after decades, along with the condition of the tyres and brakes, which see particular strain from frequent yard use.
