Muut erikoiskäyttöön tarkoitetut ajoneuvot is a class used by the Finnish registration authority Traficom for vehicles that cannot be assigned to any regular commercial category because they are built or converted for a specific purpose – at DAF it covers heavy chassis, marked in the model names with the additional code SG, the axle count (2ov) and the exact displacement in cubic centimetres, such as 11,600, 12,902 or 5,885 cm³.

The register lists here 5 versions with 162 to 340 kW from six-cylinder engines of 5,880 to 12,902 cm³ displacement, unladen weights from 8,210 to 31,640 kg, gross weights from 14,990 to 32,000 kg, lengths from 8,200 to 10,100 mm and widths from 2,450 to 2,550 mm.

DAF chassis registered as special-purpose vehicles typically serve as the base for mobile cranes, fire-service, airport or special-transport bodies, where the base chassis is combined with an individual body that matches no series-production shape; the spread of displacement and weight reflects the range from medium-heavy to very heavy special chassis.

When buying used, on such chassis check especially the frame and body mounting points, the condition of the brake system and axles under the high gross weight, the engine's service history, and, depending on the body, the registration papers and inspection history of the complete vehicle; chassis parts run through the regular DAF network, the body through the respective specialist firms.
