Cryogenic semi-trailers of this size carry liquefied oxygen, nitrogen, argon or carbon dioxide at very low temperature for industrial and medical gas supply and consist of a double-walled, vacuum-insulated tank that keeps the cargo close to its boiling point over long distances. Operating cryogenic semi-trailers like these is subject to its own testing and approval rules for pressure vessels, which is why owners and workshops work more closely with the manufacturer than is usual in the rest of the trailer business.
