Citroën – other models: the collective page for transporters outside the named series, from the AK and HY family to the early camionnette, 600 to 1,940 cc, two to four cylinders
Citroën was founded in Paris in 1919 and today belongs to the Stellantis group. This page gathers transporters outside the named series: derivatives of the 2CV family such as the AK350 and the AZU-E, the HY built on the same platform with its characteristic corrugated steel panels, produced from 1947 to 1981, and early box vans recorded under the French term camionnette. The HY was one of the first mass-produced front-wheel-drive vans, and its self-supporting body of simple, cheaply pressed steel folds shaped Citroën's commercial-vehicle development for decades.

The register lists eight versions with 600 to 1,940 cc of displacement across two to four cylinders and kerb weights from 628 to 1,951 kg; lengths range from 4,260 to 6,070 mm at a width of 1,480 to 1,990 mm, and one version is recorded at 37 kW.
With the HY and its 2CV-based siblings, Citroën took the French segment of simple, cheap-to-run vans for trade and commerce, competing against Renault's Estafette and Peugeot's light transporters. Their rugged, easily repaired engineering kept these vehicles in everyday use well into the 1980s.
For a used purchase, the condition of the self-supporting steel body matters most, since rust on wheel arches, sills and floor pans is common on cars of this age; the air-cooled twin-cylinder boxer engines and the hydropneumatic components of the later versions are mechanically robust but need regular servicing. Parts for the 2CV family are well supplied through the European classic-car market.
