This page gathers the Cirta tractors C140, CX 100 and CX 3.70, which the register could not assign to a named range. Cirta is the ancient name of the Algerian city of Constantine and also the brand of the state tractor plant there, in the Oued Hamimime industrial complex near El Khroub, founded in 1974 as PMA and renamed CMT (Complexe Moteurs Tracteurs) in 1997. The tractors and their air-cooled engines are built under licence from Deutz; in the register the engine makers accordingly appear as Deutz and as CMT or Cirta marked "Deutz licensed", with the engines carrying the Deutz type designations F6L 912 and F4L 912 for the six- and four-cylinder units.

As tractors from a state manufacturer built under Deutz licence, the Cirta models supply mainly the Algerian and North African market; the kinship with the air-cooled Deutz F4L/F6L 912 series has eased servicing and engine replacement there for decades.
When buying used, check the condition of the air-cooling fans and oil coolers, the tightness of the injection pump and lines, the condition of the clutch and gearbox, and documented service history; since the engines are structurally identical to the Deutz F4L912/F6L912 series, many wear parts can be sourced through the Deutz spares network.
