Chevrolet Scottsdale – trim line of the C/K series on C20 and C30 chassis: eight-cylinder engines from 5,700 to 7,439 cc, 97 kW, kerb weight 1,857 to 2,450 kg, also as a diesel pickup
Within the Chevrolet C/K series, Scottsdale was not a separate model line but a trim package offered in the 1970s and 1980s on C20 and C30 chassis – below Cheyenne and Silverado but above the plain base version. Like many C/K trim names – Cheyenne, Bonanza, Scottsdale – the name derives from a city in the south-western United States. The 20, 30, C20, C30 and diesel pickup versions listed here show this spread across payload classes and drivetrains.

The register lists here 6 versions with eight-cylinder engines of 5,700 to 7,439 cc, a power output of 97 kW, kerb weights of 1,857 to 2,450 kg against a gross vehicle weight of 3,500 kg, lengths of 5,400 to 5,540 mm and widths of 2,000 to 2,020 mm.
As a trim line, Scottsdale targeted price-conscious commercial buyers wanting a sturdy work vehicle without the chrome and comfort details of the pricier Silverado, while being technically built on the same chassis and engines. The diesel variant from the early 1980s added a more economical drivetrain for high-mileage users.
On the petrol versions a used-buying check should cover the carburettor and ignition, on the diesel the injection pump and starter motor, and on all versions rust on the frame and load bed and the condition of brakes and steering. Spare parts for the C/K series are widely available on the aftermarket regardless of the original trim line.
