The register holds 4 versions rated at 53 to 73.5 kW, with four-cylinder engines of a uniform 4,485 cm³. Weights range from 3,530 to 3,960 kg, with a length of 3,925 mm and a width of 2,012 mm. Heights fall between 2,530 and 2,615 mm, torque between 262 and 293 Nm at an engine speed of 2,500 rpm.

With the same 4,485 cm³ displacement across all four models, the power difference came mainly from injection and boost tuning; the series continued to target farms in the lower to middle power segment wanting a compact all-round tractor for field and yard work.

When buying used, check the engine and injection system, clutch and gearbox, and the hydraulic system; with biodiesel use, take a close look at seals and fuel lines. Rust on the mudguards and cab frame and the condition of the tyres are further checkpoints; spare parts are available through the Case IH dealer network. Compared with the earlier JX U generation, cab layout and wheelbase changed little, so the range remained compact and manoeuvrable in tight yards and narrow lanes.
