This page gathers Büssing models outside the named ranges, from the 6000 S8 through the LU 11 to the DE 71. Büssing was founded in 1903 by Heinrich Büssing in Brunswick and was, into the 1960s, one of Germany's most important commercial-vehicle makers, its Brunswick lion serving as the brand mark; in 1971 MAN took over the company and the independent marque disappeared.

The register lists here 3 versions with six cylinders throughout of 7,369 to 11,413 cc, unladen weights from 5,190 to 8,960 kg, gross weights from 12,000 to 16,000 kg, lengths from 6,250 to 11,100 mm and widths from 2,400 to 2,500 mm.

With its underfloor-engined trucks and buses, Büssing shaped German long-haul and local transport in the post-war years and was, alongside Mercedes-Benz and MAN, one of the big names in the heavy segment, until the MAN takeover ended its independent development; the Brunswick lion went on serving as a MAN badge on heavy ranges for some years afterwards, before giving way to a unified MAN brand identity.

On these historic six-cylinder diesel trucks, the condition of the engine and underfloor clutch, rust on frame and cab, the operation of brakes and suspension, and the condition of the gearbox and propshaft all count; spare parts today come only through classic-commercial-vehicle specialists and Büssing clubs.
