Bührer, a Swiss tractor maker based in Hinwil in the canton of Zurich, ran the G range as a Super line alongside simpler Standard ranges such as O-Standard or M/N Standard, competing with brands such as Hürlimann and Meili. The model name SUPER-SIX names both the trim and the engine layout: the six-cylinder. The GM-29 SUPER-SIX (A) was built from 1968 to 1975.

The engine is a water-cooled six-cylinder diesel of 5,672 cm³ displacement, producing 73.5 kW (100 hp) at 2,000 rpm and developing 255 Nm of torque. With an unladen weight of 2,810 kg, a length of 4,000 mm, a width of 1,890 mm, a height of 1,700 mm and a wheelbase of 2,500 mm, it reaches a top speed of 22 km/h.
At 22 km/h the GM-29 SUPER-SIX falls within driving licence category L up to 40 km/h. As the flagship of the G range, the six-cylinder of around 5.7 litres displacement formed the top end of Bührer's programme in those years, built for heavy tillage and draft work on larger Swiss farms rather than light yard duties.
When buying such a flagship six-cylinder second-hand, the operating hours and the condition of the injection pump, the tightness of the engine and cooling system, and wear on the clutch and gearbox matter.
