The 6225C carries a water-cooled four-cylinder diesel engine with 2,286 cm³ of displacement, producing 60 hp, or 44 kW, at 2,600 rpm. At 2,035 kg unladen weight, 3,150 kg permissible gross weight, 3,316 mm long, with a 1,806 mm wheelbase and 1,620 mm width and 2,463 mm height, the hydraulics lift up to 1,500 kg.

A lift capacity of 1,500 kg at an unladen weight of around two tonnes points to a tractor built for front-loader and rear-implement work on the farm and on grassland, not for heavy arable work on large holdings. The speed of 2,600 rpm at full displacement is typical for a compact four-cylinder diesel of this class. Unlike older evaporative-cooling designs, the water-cooled layout with radiator and fan allows continuous use even in hot conditions.

When buying used, the condition of the front hydraulics and their connections matters, since this tractor class is often run with front or rear loaders and wears accordingly. Also worth checking are the clutch, rear axle seals and tyres, which can wear unevenly on farm tractors through frequent turning on hard surfaces.
