Borgward, based in Bremen, was built up by Carl F. W. Borgward, who produced trucks alongside passenger cars under the Borgward, Goliath and Lloyd brands, before the company went bankrupt in 1961. This page gathers trucks outside the named series, whose type designation B with an appended number usually denoted the payload class in kilograms at Borgward, as with the B 2500, B 4500 and B622 models.

The register lists five versions with 2,320 to 4,962 cc of displacement across four to six cylinders, kerb weights from 2,410 to 3,900 kg and gross vehicle weights from 3,490 to 9,000 kg; lengths range from 6,100 to 6,200 mm at a width of 1,950 to 2,420 mm, and one version is recorded at 81 kW.
In the 1950s, Borgward trucks held the medium-duty commercial-vehicle segment in West Germany alongside makers such as Mercedes-Benz, MAN and Hanomag, and were also exported to Scandinavian countries including Finland, where they were registered under the local term kuorma-auto, meaning truck. Production ended abruptly with the 1961 bankruptcy.
For a used purchase, the key points are rust on the frame and cab, the condition of the mechanical brake system, and the availability of engine and drivetrain parts, since production already ended in 1961. Parts today can only be sourced through a handful of specialist Borgward clubs and collectors.
