On a used example, axle and wheel-bearing condition, the function of the overrun brake and its linkage, rust on frame and drawbar, and tyre and rim condition all count. Parts for such small makers typically come through independent trailer workshops rather than a manufacturer network. Before the first journey, adjustment of the brake linkage and inspection of the lighting system also belong on the checklist. On older examples, checking the condition of the towing eye and safety chain is also worthwhile, along with wheel-bearing play on higher-mileage units.
