The LT/A series carried on the Allis-Gleaner Corporation (AGCO) mid-size utility-tractor class in a stronger-rated version: the LT-75 A, LT-85 A, LT-90 A and LT-95 A sit above the plain LT models in power. The Allis-Gleaner Corporation emerged in 1990 from the management buyout of the farm-equipment division of Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz, previously Deutz-Allis, forming the foundation of today's AGCO group, headquartered in Duluth, Georgia.

With higher power and greater weight than the plain LT series, the LT/A series bridged the gap to the big DT class and targeted operations with elevated power needs while keeping compact dimensions, for instance for heavier tillage or bigger balers and forage wagons.
Used, the LT/A series calls for checking engine condition under higher sustained load, transmission and clutch, hydraulics and PTO for heavier mounted implements, and front axle and brakes; tyres and cab mounts are also worth a look. Spare parts run through the AGCO organisation.
