Allis-Gleaner Corporation (AGCO) DT series – DT-160 to DT-225: the big six-cylinder standard tractors after Deutz-Allis, 119 to 168 kW
The DT series held the place of the big field-tractor class in the Allis-Gleaner Corporation (AGCO) line-up: four six-cylinder diesel types from the DT-160 to the DT-225, whose type numbers give the approximate power step. The Allis-Gleaner Corporation was formed in 1990 from a management buyout of the farm-equipment division of Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz, which had previously traded as Deutz-Allis, and became the foundation of today's AGCO group, headquartered in Duluth, Georgia.

The register lists here 4 versions with 119.2 to 167.7 kW from six-cylinders of 8,268 cm³ displacement, torque from 729 to 970 Nm at 2,200 rpm, unladen weights from 8,623 to 8,956 kg and uniform dimensions of 5,156 mm length, 2,494 mm width and 3,073 mm height – all with diesel engines.
As big standard tractors of the Deutz-Allis and AGCO-Allis era, the DT series targeted operations with high draft requirements in field work and competed in the North American market directly with the big models from Case IH and John Deere as well as with AGCO's own brands.
Used, the DT series calls for checking engine hours and the cooling system, transmission and clutch under full load, hydraulic pump and PTO for heavy mounted implements, and frame and front-axle bearings; cab electrics and tyres are also worth checking. Spare parts now run through the AGCO organisation.
