The 10er-Serie (UR-1) series from Zetor includes the 5011. Production: 1980–1984. The engine delivers 45 hp (33.1 kW), has 3 cylinders, with a displacement of 2,696 cm³. Torque is 147 Nm. Rated speed is 2,200 rpm. The machine is 3,375 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and 2,620 mm high. The unladen weight is 2,670 kg. The wheelbase measures 2,025 mm. Ground clearance is 440 mm. Top speed is 25 km/h. The tank holds 47 litres. Transmission: 10 V/2 R. The engine is water-cooled. Tyres: front 6.50 ASF, rear 14.9-28 AS. The fuel is diesel. The bore measures 102 mm. The stroke is 110 mm. Maximum torque is reached at 1,600 rpm. Construction: unit construction (no separate frame). The gearbox offers 10 forward gears. There are also 2 reverse gears. The linkage is category II. The PTO runs at 540/1000 rpm. Around 53.322 (inkl. 6011-7045) units were built. The 10 er-Serie (UR-1) series covers 3 models. Rated output within it ranges from 45 to 65 hp; the 5011 sits at the bottom of that range with 45 hp. Its immediate neighbours are the 6011/6045 above it with 58 hp. Unladen weight within it ranges from 2,670 to 2,930 kg; here the 5011 sits at the bottom of that range with 2,670 kg. 371 Zetor models across 27 series are on record.

Zetor 10 series (UR I) – types 5011, 6011/6045 and 7011/7045 of the Brno Unified Range I: three- and four-cylinder diesels, 33.1 to 47.8 kW, 2.67 to 2.93 t unladen weight, 2,696 to 3,595 cm³

From the mid-1960s Zetor developed in Brno the Unified Range I (UR I), a new, modularly built tractor generation. This collective page brings together the types 5011, 6011/6045 and 7011/7045 from the UR I's 10 series; the first two digits give the size class, while the last two distinguish the base version (11) from a revised variant (45), as shown by the double designations 6011/6045 and 7011/7045 in the register.

The register lists 3 versions with 33.1 to 47.8 kW from three- and four-cylinder diesel engines of 2,696 to 3,595 cm³ displacement, torque figures of 147 to 200 Nm at 2,200 rpm. Unladen weights range from 2,670 to 2,930 kg, lengths from 3,375 to 3,720 mm, widths from 1,810 to 1,850 mm and heights from 2,620 to 2,650 mm.

As the mid-sized build of the UR I, the 10 series covered the segment between the smaller 7-series types and the large Zetor Crystal tractors, and was widespread both in Czechoslovakia and through export to other Comecon states and Western Europe. In Czechoslovak agricultural cooperatives and state farms it ranked, alongside the smaller UR I types, among the most widely used tractors for fieldwork, transport and implement towing.

When buying used, check gearbox and clutch, the hydraulic seals, rust on cab and wings, and the cylinder head and injection pump; parts for engine and drivetrain remain available through the Czech Zetor parts trade.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Check the weights in the papers against the figures here — attachments change them.
  • Check front and rear tyre sizes: mismatched pairs strain the drivetrain.
  • Shift the gearbox cold and warm — jumps only show up at temperature.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
