The Yanmar YDG Series brings together on this collective page four diesel engines for portable generator sets: YDG2700N, YDG3700N, YDG5500N and YDG6600TN. Yanmar was founded in 1912 in Osaka by Magokichi Yamaoka and released its first series-produced small diesel engine in 1933; the YDG range drives its generators with air-cooled engines from the L range, while other Yanmar ranges are intended for agricultural machinery, construction equipment or marine propulsion. Rated speed is 3,000 rpm at 50 Hz and 3,600 rpm at 60 Hz.
