Warchalowski, Eissler & Co. of Vienna was an engine and machine builder that, like many Austrian and German engine makers after the Second World War, entered tractor building to sell its own diesel engines. The WT series – W for Warchalowski, T for Traktor – was the programme of the 1950s and 1960s for Austria's smallholder farming: the number gives the output in hp, from WT 14 to WT 50, and the suffixes A and B mark four-wheel drive and revised versions respectively. The engines with two to four cylinders came from in-house production, and the tractors were simply built and intended for mountain and grassland farms.

The register lists 15 versions with 10.3 to 33.1 kW (18 to 45 hp), 1,022 to 2,290 cm³ with two to four cylinders, unladen weights from 855 to 1,780 kg, lengths from 2,480 to 3,380 mm, widths from 1,460 to 1,670 mm and heights from 1,240 to 1,680 mm – all diesel. Widths up to 1,670 mm and weights under 1.8 t show the class: tractors for farms of a few hectares, as formed the majority in Austria into the 1970s.
Warchalowski ended tractor production in the late 1960s when Steyr and Lindner divided the Austrian market between them and the importers came with volume models; the brand lived on for some years in engines and compressors.
Used WT tractors are rare collector pieces of Austrian farm-machinery history; when buying, engine condition and originality, gearbox and brakes and parts supply, which runs only through collectors and remanufacturers, are what count.
