The type designations mostly follow a four-digit power-class number, supplemented by codes for equipment and drive: HST denotes hydrostatic drive, 4RM the Italian quattro ruote motrici, i.e. four-wheel drive, DT doppia trazione, the Italian term for dual traction, and VRM and ISR further gearbox and equipment variants.
