On a used example, the condition of the traction battery and its remaining capacity, the condition of the Subaru donor chassis under the electric conversion, corrosion on the body and frame, and brakes and suspension under the battery weight, higher than on the original vehicle, all count.

Being battery-electric, the Cityvan is entirely exempt from any Euro emission stage involving exhaust-gas recirculation or a particulate filter, and it escapes driving bans in inner-city low-emission zones that apply elsewhere in Europe to combustion-engined vehicles; unlike the Subaru donor vehicle, the conversion also removes the clutch, since the electric motor needs no manual gearbox.
