With the Series 15, introduced in 1965, Someca's time as an independent designer ended: from that model year, the Saint-Ouen plant built only tractors to Fiat specification. The series thus marks the technical break between the old SOM models and the later Gold Ribbon programme.

The type names carrying "15" refer to the new Fiat range that Someca now built under licence, technically largely identical to the 215-715 models sold in parallel under the Fiat badge.
For collectors, this short-lived series therefore marks the transition from French in-house design to pure licensed production, which continued until full integration into Fiat in 1983.
Since Fiat tractors of this era were offered partly with water cooling and, on the smaller versions, also with air cooling, it is worth checking the cooling system actually fitted on a given Series 15 example before servicing the radiator or fan. Fiat's tractor division passed into Fiatagri after the Someca era and is today part of the New Holland brand within the CNH group, through which engine and drivetrain parts for the technically related Series 15 can at least be sourced.
