The Sennebogen Flexible material handler for port handling is a crane from Sennebogen.

Sennebogen – From Farm Machinery in Straubing to Material Handling

Erich Sennebogen founded the company in 1952 in Straubing, initially as a maker of agricultural machinery. His guiding principle, "there is no such thing as can't", led to the company's first hydraulic excavator in 1962, a hydraulically adjustable cab in 1976, and the world's first hydraulically adjustable articulated boom in 1980. Since then, the focus has been on productive, cost-efficient material-handling machines for scrapyards, steel mills, waterways, and waste, recycling and demolition work, where the machines move waste paper, waste timber, general waste, used tyres, scrap and construction debris. Final assembly takes place only at the German sites of Straubing and Wackersdorf. Listed in the register: a 23-tonne material handler for waste and scrap handling.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.

A general list for this type of machine — no substitute for an inspection or an appraiser.
