This page gathers the Renault tractors the register could not assign to a named range – from early post-war models to the ranges shortly before the takeover by Claas in 2003. Renault Agriculture, which emerged from the farm-machinery division of the car maker founded in 1920, built its tractors in Le Mans, France. The type logic changed several times: the D and N types of the 1950s and 1960s (D22, D35, N72) were small, simple utility tractors; the three-digit 651 to 981 ranges of the 1970s and 1980s order the power class in ascending order, -4 marks four-wheel-drive models and (S) the synchro-gearbox version. From the 1990s came ranges with names instead of numbers – Ceres (mid-range), Cergos, Ares (large and mid-range), Atles (big tractors), Celtis (compact class) and Pales and the narrow-track Fructus and Multis models for vineyards and orchards.

For decades Renault was, alongside Massey Ferguson, one of the leading tractor brands in France and strongly represented in viticulture, for which the narrow-track Fructus and Multis ranges were developed; after the 2003 takeover by Claas the models continued for a time under the Renault name before the brand was replaced by Claas by 2005.
On used tractors, engine and clutch condition count on the older D and numbered ranges, electronics, hydraulics and cab-mounting condition on the named ranges of the 1990s, and wear on steering and lift linkage from working between vine rows on the narrow-track vineyard models; parts now run through the Claas network.
