The Palfinger HT 24 (A) is a hooklift from the HT series, designed for heavy truck chassis. According to Palfinger, it can be installed on chassis from 26 t to 32 t and handles containers up to 24 t in loading, unloading, trailer transfer and tipping.

The defining feature of this design is the telescopic jib. With it, the same body picks up containers of very different lengths, and the operator switches between jobs on one vehicle without changing the body. Typical tasks lie in construction-site haulage, waste disposal and the transport of bulk materials. The low transport height and low weight that Palfinger quotes for this hooklift line suit these jobs.

For operators with heavy container work who need a high payload on each trip, the HT 24 (A) is therefore the choice within the series.

What to check before buying

  • Search the frame and welds at the axle mounts — that is where cracks start.
  • Check the brakes and the last inspection in the papers.
  • Compare the chassis number with the papers.
  • Look at the floor, cover or body from the inside — rust does not show from outside.

A general list for this type of machine — no substitute for an inspection or an appraiser.
