The Palfinger HT 18 (A) is a hooklift from the HT series, mounted on truck chassis. With it, a vehicle loads, unloads and tips swap-body containers, and it can also transfer containers between truck and trailer. Its capacity covers containers up to 18 t.
The series is defined by its telescopic jib: it adapts to containers of different lengths, so a single vehicle can serve many container sizes and jobs, such as construction skips, bulk-material bins or waste containers. Palfinger also stresses the low transport height and the low weight of the body.
Both help make better use of the chassis payload, and the low overall height makes it easier to drive under low clearances. The (A) suffix in the name marks the version within the HT series.

What to check before buying
- Search the frame and welds at the axle mounts — that is where cracks start.
- Check the brakes and the last inspection in the papers.
- Compare the chassis number with the papers.
- Look at the floor, cover or body from the inside — rust does not show from outside.
