Normag was a farm-machinery maker from Nordhausen, later Zorge, which built a series of one- and two-cylinder diesel tractors under the NG designation; the register lists here the NG 10, NG 15, NG 22, NG 23 and NG 25, with the number naming the power class. One of the versions ran on a wood-gas system, common during the war and immediate post-war period due to diesel shortages.

The register lists here five versions with 11 to 18.3 kW, or 15 to 25 hp, from one- or two-cylinder engines of 1,180 to 3,982 cm³ displacement, unladen weights from 1,200 to 2,290 kg, lengths from 2,530 to 3,000 mm, widths from 1,500 to 1,600 mm and heights from 1,440 to 1,850 mm at speeds of 1,500 to 1,600 rpm.
As a small to medium farm-machinery maker in central Germany, Normag competed with Lanz, Deutz and the early post-war models from Fendt and Eicher; the one- and two-cylinder design with rugged slow-running engines was built for the smaller and medium farms of the period.
When buying used, the condition of the cylinder bore and injection pump, tightness of the cooling system and corrosion on sheet-metal parts and wings matter; since Normag no longer exists as a brand, spare parts can be sourced almost exclusively through collector markets or new-made parts from specialists in historic farm machinery.
