New Holland Versatile – the articulated tractors from Winnipeg under the Ford New Holland flag (1987–2000): 9184 to 9884 with Cummins six-cylinders, the Bi-Directional 9030 and TV140, 76 to 317 kW
Versatile of Winnipeg, Manitoba, had built articulated four-wheel-drive tractors for the wheat fields of the Canadian prairie since 1966 and was taken over by Ford New Holland in 1987; until 2000 the tractors ran under the name New Holland Versatile, then New Holland sold the plant to Buhler Industries, which carries the Versatile brand to this day. The register shows the Ford New Holland years: the 9184 to 9884 are the articulated tractors of the 1990s, whose number logic orders the power class – 9282 and 9482 the smaller, 9682 to 9884 the big ones with Cummins N14 and M11 and up to 425 hp – powered by Cummins six-cylinders, as the register proves. The 9030 Bi-Directional and the TV140 and TV145 are Versatile's speciality: tractors with two directions of travel and a rotating operator station that work forwards as well as backwards and carry loader, mower or round baler at either end.

The Bi-Directional layout, which Versatile has built since 1977, has remained without imitators: the operator turns the seat 180 degrees and has hydraulics at both ends – for livestock farms and municipalities a tractor that runs front loader and rear implement at the same time.
