This collective page gathers McCormick-Deering tractors outside the named series. McCormick-Deering was the tractor brand of the International Harvester Company (IHC), formed in 1902 from the merger of the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and the Deering Harvester Company. The 10-20 (from 1923) and 15-30 (from 1921) were among the first mass-produced IHC tractors. Letter prefixes on later ranges denoted the application: W marked the standard version (W-30, W-40), O the low, shrouded orchard versions (O-12, O-14, OS-4, OS-6), I the industrial versions (I-12, IA-40, ID-40), and D denoted diesel power (WD-40, WD-9).

The register lists 30 versions from 17 to 50 hp with four- and six-cylinder engines, overwhelmingly built by International, that is International Harvester, itself. Fuel choices included petrol, paraffin (kerosene) and diesel side by side, typical of American tractors from the 1920s to the 1940s, along with distillate fuel.
McCormick-Deering and the Farmall range that followed it made International Harvester the largest tractor maker in the United States during the 1920s and 1930s, ahead of John Deere and Ford. The W, O and I ranges each served their own market segment, from the standard farm through orchards to industrial use.
On these pre-war and early post-war tractors, the condition of the carburettor or paraffin pre-heating system, the cylinder head and the radiator matter most. On O models with their low bodywork, the shrouding is often damaged or missing entirely; on the industrial I versions, check the often non-standard tyres. Spares are supplied by an active network of American IHC specialists.
