The register lists here 3 versions with 48 to 58 hp from three- to four-cylinder diesel engines of 2,500 to 3,860 cm³ displacement at rated speeds of 2,250 to 2,400 rpm. Unladen weights range from 1,620 to 2,650 kg, lengths from 3,370 to 3,810 mm, widths from 1,670 to 1,920 mm and heights from 1,350 to 1,880 mm.

With more power than the 50 series, the S series covered larger mountain farms and mixed holdings in the Alpine region, where transport and PTO implements alongside meadow work demanded higher pulling power; Lindner remained specialised in the niche of sloping ground, where competitors such as Fendt or Steyr were less present.

On a used example, clutch and gearbox condition, hydraulic tightness, wear of the brakes, important on sloping ground, and rust on chassis and mudguards count; parts run through Lindner itself and independent farm-machinery workshops.

Unlike the lighter 50 series, the S series relied on water cooling throughout, which dissipates heat more evenly than an air-cooling system under higher continuous load and draft work. Here too, the PTO runs at 540 revolutions per minute for the usual implements of mountain farming. The S series likewise benefits from Lindner's manufacturing in Kundl, still independent today, which eases the supply of maker's own parts.
